Who we are

A single buyer, accountable to no one but the business.

FallingWater Capital is a private acquisition and holding company. We buy small, profitable service businesses and operate them for the long term.

We are not a fund. There are no outside investors demanding an exit in five years, and no investment committee standing between you and an answer. The person you speak with on the first call is the person who makes the decision.

Our founders spent over twenty-five years building and leading go-to-market organizations for technology and consulting firms, as well as co-founding multiple home and commercial services companies. We now bring that experience to a narrow set of essential local services, where an owner has already built the part that takes decades: the reputation, the crew, the customers who keep calling. We specialize in accelerating sales reach, operational technology, and the resources to grow.

Investment thesis

We buy where capital, marketing, and technology are the binding constraints.

The work has been done right for years. What is usually missing is everything that happens around it.

Essential, unglamorous services

Semi-recession-resistant work that people and buildings need whether or not the economy cooperates. Solid models, healthy margins, recurring by nature.

Technology and operating leverage

Automated scheduling, billing, and routing. Less time spent on the parts of the job that never should have been manual.

Adjacent services, same standard

Most customers need more than the one service that brought us in. We add the next one only when we can hold the standard that earned it and continue to drive quality.

Operator partners run the day to day. Capital, marketing, and go-to-market come from us.

What we look for

If most of this sounds like your business, we should talk.

  • Profitable and cash-flowing, with a team already in place
  • Revenue between $750K and $6M
  • Owner earnings of $200K to $1.25M
  • Seven or more years of history
  • Three to thirty five employees
  • Revenue that repeats: routes, service contracts, or work required by code
  • An owner who is not the only technician and not the only salesperson
  • An owner who wants a good home for the people who built this with them
  • Room to grow through sales focus, added services, or new geography

Close but not exact? Write anyway. Size alone has never been the reason we passed on a good business.

What happens to your team

We buy businesses to run them, not to strip them.

The team stays. The name usually stays. Customers who have called the same number for twenty years keep calling it.

What changes is the support around the work: real marketing, a proper sales process, systems that stop eating nights and weekends, and the capital to say yes to the jobs the business has been turning down.

If you have spent decades building something special with remarkable people, and you want it to outlast your retirement, that is the whole reason we are here.

How it works

How a conversation usually goes.

1

A quiet first call

Twenty minutes, no documents, no obligation. Most of it is us listening.

2

Confidentiality first

We sign a mutual NDA before we ask for a single financial statement.

3

A real offer, quickly

If it fits, you have a letter of intent in two to three weeks, with the price and the structure written plainly.

4

Diligence and close

Sixty to ninety days, with financing arranged in advance so the timeline is ours to keep.

5

Transition on your terms

Three to twelve months of overlap, longer if you want it. You introduce us to your customers and your crew, then you go enjoy the thing you earned.
